| Conference at Financial Institutions Center, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, April 19 – 21, 2007 |
Call for papers Starting from 2007, the Centre for Analytical Finance (CAF) at the Indian Business School, Hyderabad, the Financial Institutions Center (FIC) at the Wharton School, and the Swedish Institute for Financial Research (SIFR) at Stockholm will hold joint research conferences. The conferences will be annual, held in spring, and rotate between Philadelphia, Stockholm, and Hyderabad.
India’s Financial System is the theme of the first CAF – FIC – SIFR. It will be held at the Wharton School. The conference will begin with a reception on the evening of Thursday, April 19, 2007. The sessions will be held on April 20 and 21, 2007.
The program committee for the conference consists of Viral Acharya, Franklin Allen, Ulf Axelson, Rajesh Chakrabarti, Bhagwan Chowdhry, Magnus Dahlquist, Sankar De, Mihir Desai, Ravi Jagannathan, Sendhil Mullainathen, Vinay Nair, Krishna Ramaswamy, Antoinette Schoar, Per Strömberg, Raghu Sundaram, and Pradeep Yadav.
Papers on all aspects of India’s financial system are welcome. We especially encourage submissions in the following topics:
- Current state of Indian capital markets reform
- Law, institutions, and finance in India
- Banking and financial institutions in India
- Capital markets in India, including structure, quality, performance, and other issues

- Early February, 2007: Communication of decision to authors
