Dr Glenn Boyle is Executive Director of the New Zealand Institute for the Study of Competition and Regulation, a position he took up in 2004. Prior to that, he was Professor of Finance at Otago University. He holds a PhD in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and an MA in economics from the University of Canterbury.
Boyle has published articles on corporate finance and asset pricing in a number of leading finance and economics journals. His current research interests include real options, executive compensation, and the economics of contracting in the bloodstock industry.
Boyle is a Consulting Director with LECG Asia-Pacific and has advised several of New Zealand’s major companies on regulatory and cost of capital matters. Between 1995 and 2001, he was also a board member of the New Zealand Debt Management Office.
