Born in India in 1966, Ashutosh Sinha studied electrical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, before beginning his career as a consultant at Citicorp Overseas Software, where he worked for 3 years. In 1993 he finished his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management at Calcutta and joined SBI Funds Management as a portfolio manager in 1993.
He switched to Morgan Stanley Investment Management in Mumbai 1995 and moved to Singapore with the firm in 1998. He was Managing Director and Head of Investments for Asia (excluding Japan) and a senior portfolio manager for Global Emerging Markets Equities at Morgan Stanley. Currently he is Managing Partner at Amoeba Capital Partners Pte Ltd, Singapore.
