Developing Solutions to Complex Business Problems

Senior business executives must respond to two fundamental demands- solving complex problems, and developing future leaders for the firm. Participation of senior executives in the solution development process is important, apart from providing informational inputs on the problem. The ISB’s customised programme on Developing Solutions to Complex Business Problems engages senior executives in an action project based structured educational programme, which provides them relevant tools and frameworks needed to diagnose the problems, and helps in applying the tools to solve their specific business problems

Our Approach

ISB faculty will work with the client organisation to define appropriate action learning projects, for addressing strategic challenges facing the firm, and a time-frame for completion. The participants will go through class room based education to begin with to get exposure to relevant academic frameworks and tools, and also to define the project deliverables and action steps, in consultation with the faculty. Participants will have access to the ISB’s faculty and Digital / Print Educational Resources, for getting necessary knowledge sources at the right time, in the project implementation process. A web based portal would also be created for participants to share views / ideas, and to post queries to faculty. At the end of the project, participants come back to the ISB, where they would make detailed presentations on the action learning projects, to the faculty and top management team of their organisation. This would create a forum to refine and fine tune the next steps for implementing the identified solutions, based on feedback and suggestions from peers, seniors, and faculty.
