Integral Coaching- An Invitation to Personal Excellence November 21, 2009
The Mumbai Chapter held a session at Hotel Taj Lands End, Bandra on November 21, 2009 on the topic, "Integral Coaching- An Invitation to Personal Excellence". The speaker was Mahesh Deshmukh, the owner of Maruma Consultancy engaged in Executive Coaching. He outlined the holistic and sustainable aspect of coaching by blending cognition, emotion, and somatic components. He explained that since the body, mind, and emotional aspect are not in agreement, it is difficult to sustain the coaching. The Alumni was briefed shortly on the discussion which happened at ISB Hyderabad with chapter officials.
How to Develop Strong Personal Leadership September 13, 2009
The Mumbai Chapter invited Clive Rubery to deliver a talk on the topic of “How to Develop Strong Personal Leadership” at Hotel Vits, Andheri. The event was attended by 50 enthusiastic CEE alumni who were accompanied by their spouses. Clive outlined the key ingredients of success using the model by Professor John Hunt, London Business School, that explains the importance for an organisation to have leadership/vision, and to have capable, action oriented people who are rewarded well. He explained how all these factors can make an organisation sustainable and successful. Manish Sinha and Ashok Malhotra briefed the members on the actions taken by ISB and at the Mumbai chapter. The session was followed by lunch at the hotel.
Marketing Innovations in Turbulent Times January 21, 2009
At the Mumbai Chapter a lot of reconnect livened up the venue at Rodas, Central Avenue, Hiranandani Gardens, Powai. Speaker Arun Pereira, a visiting professor at the Indian School of Business (ISB), and Associate Professor of Marketing at the Cook School of Business, Saint Louis University, delivered a talk on ‘Marketing Innovations in Turbulent Times’. The event was organised by the ISB and sponsored by the ISB Alumni Sanjay Mehta, CEO, MAIA Intelligence. Mehta also made a presentation to the guests present.
Why Leadership Development Matters in Difficult Times/ Are Companies Investing Enough on Human Capital, Christine Greybe, President – DHR International December 27, 2008
The Mumbai Chapter saw at least 60 enthusiastic participants who were eager to share their views and opinions on various issues. The event was sponsored by DHR International, one of the largest executive Search firms from the US. Christine Greybe, president, DHR, spoke on the topic,"Why Leadership Matters in Difficult Times- Are Firms Investing Enough in Their Human Capital?" She shared some interesting data points and anecdotes on her experience in Asia Pacific where she is based. This event was the second one to be organised in two months. And in order to make this chapter a huge success, the participants also launched three sub committees; Networking and Fun, Knowledge and Career Advancement, and Fund Raising Committee. Mumbai Chapter Launch August 10, 2008
Braving rain and water logging at several parts of Mumbai, a large number of CEE Alumni met at the Grand Central at Mumbai. The evening provided valuable insights into the experiences of the CEE Alums, about their learning while at the ISB, and how executive education programmes have helped them in their careers and organisations. It was also a great moment of coming together and making plans for the road ahead. The office bearers elected to the Mumbai chapter were:
