While firms might continue to rely on strategic planning departments to help craft corporate / business strategy, the role of business and functional heads in providing key information and shaping the pieces of strategy assumes greater importance, especially in the context of market dynamics and business complexities associated with various businesses. There is also a strong need to leverage each others business, in a multi-business context. The buy-in for the strategic initiatives would be considerably higher if the businesses and functions help build the corporate / business strategy, as the ownership for strategy implementation would then be with the businesses. Issues of change management become critical for leading people in the implementation process.
This critical workshop would focus on understanding the global and Indian business environment; Strategic management processes, tools, and frameworks; Building sustainable competitive advantage; Evaluating strategic options; Developing commercial perspectives; Strategy Implementation. Personal and Organisational Change, Leadership Styles, Transformational Leadership, and Motivation and Team building will also be addressed in the context of strategy implementation.
This workshop would facilitate the top management team to build aligned business strategies that have the buy-in of the businesses and functions within their organisation. Participants would have formulated action plans for business units and functions, at the end of the intervention.
