Amit Mehra is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at the Indian School of Business. He holds a PhD and MS in Management Science from the W E Simon Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Rochester. He completed his Masters and Bachelors in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.  Professor Mehra is a recipient of the ICIS Doctoral Consortium in 2005 and a Doctoral Fellowship from the W E Simon Graduate School of Business Administration.

He has over seven years experience in accounts and finance function in Indian Railways.

His research interests lie in open source software, electronic commerce and product planning.
