Technology Enabled Services: Management, Design, and Delivery

This is a joint research project between the University of Auckland, New Zealand and the Indian School of Business with the assistance of HYSEA. The study aims to look at issues that characterise organisations in both the IT enabled services (including BPO) and the IT services sectors (including application development and maintenance). Your participation will help us scientifically address issues that are important to your industry. It will also help you benchmark your organisation with your peer organisations.

Issues we are interested in studying:

  • How do you and your customers define and derive business value
  • Tangible and intangible assets that you use to deliver services
  • The nature of your connectivity with your colleagues and customers
  • How you see yourself in comparison with your competitors

We hosted a panel at the ISB on September 6, 2008 to brief potential participants about our project.

We are looking for participants who have deep knowledge about their organisations so that they can provide rich information to the research team. To add value to our research study, your organisation should:

  • be of reasonable size (in excess of 100 employees)
  • include partnerships with clients who are located outside India (possibly in addition to India based clients)
  • have well defined industry verticals for which you provide services

At all times, your anonymity will be maintained and no one outside the research team will have details about you or your responses.

At the end of the project, we will provide you with an executive summary of the research project and will host an event to which you will be invited. At that event, we will have some members of the research team to discuss our findings with you.
