CLIC Team

We have expanded the research team to bring together an inter-disciplinary talent pool to pursue the research topics. Below is the current team with the BCIM, along with their roles and areas of research.


Charles Dhanaraj – Head & Senior Research Fellow at CLIC,  ISB
Dhanaraj is a tenured faculty at Indiana University. His research focuses on global strategy and collaborative innovation. An engineer from IIT Madras, he worked with Tatas, before pursuing graduate studies. He has won awards for research, case writing, and teaching.

Prasad Kaipa – Senior Research Fellow & Director Emeritus
Kaipa is a Smith Richardson Visiting Fellow at the Center for Creative Leadership. Prior to joining ISB, Prasad worked in Apple International Marketing and Apple University. He holds a PhD in Physics from IIT Madras. Prasad’s research focuses on leadership and innovation.

Anand Nandkumar - Assistant Professor of Strategy at ISB
Professor Nandkumar, a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University and an ISB faculty since 2008. His research interests include: entrepreneurship and industry revolution in technologically intensive industries; innovation, patents and economics of technological change, markets for technology, competition in ICT industry, and economics of Information Security.




Rishikesha T. Krishnan - Professor in Corporate Strategy & Policy at IIMB
Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Professor at IIM, Bangalore holds M.Sc. in Physics from IIT Kanpur; an M.S. from Stanford University, and PhD from IIM-A. He is the celebrated author of From Jugaad to Systematic Innovation: The Challenge for India. He is a member of the High Powered Committee set up by the Government of India for the National Civil Aircraft Development Programme.

MB Sarkar – Professor of Strategy and Innovation at Temple University
MB Sarkar (Ph.D. Michigan State University) is Professor and the Stauffer Research Fellow at the Fox School of Business, Temple University and visiting professor at IIM Calcutta and ISB, Hyderabad. His research has been published in several top-tier journals like Academy of Management etc.





Nita Sachan - Senior Researcher
A Masters from IIT Roorkee and Ph. D. from University of Kentucky, Nita has worked for several years at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas on cardiovascular diseases. She has received numerous awards at UT Southwestern including Women in Science and Medicine Association (WISMAC). 

Mridula Anand - Research Associate
A  Bachelor of Science from Madras University and Master in Biology from Stanford University, Mridula worked for many years in Mycobacterial genetics in the University of Pittsburgh. After moving to India, she worked briefly with Novartis Healthcare before joining CLIC.

Abhijit Ravipati – Research Associate
Abhijit holds a Masters degree in Operations Research and Bachelors in Electronics and Communications. He studied Finance and Economics at Stanford University and is a CFA level 2 candidate. His research areas include intellectual property rights and innovation in emerging markets with primary focus on the Indian pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining ISB, he worked in Singapore in the energy sector.




Anubha Bahadur - Intern                             
Anubha Bahadur is a graduate in Economics and has a diploma in Fashion Design and Technology. She started her career with the Oswal Group, which is one of India’s leading apparel company. She pursued her passion in teaching and worked as the lead Academic Coordinator in a Senior Secondary School. Anubha conceptualized and founded a pre-school and kindergarten in 2006 and designed the curriculum for the same. She is a Reiki master and a trained Classical Dancer. Anubha is currently working on the Innovation Handbook project.

S Ramnarayan – Clinical Professor
Ramnarayan, resident faculty at ISB, earned his PhD in Organizational Behavior from the Case Western Reserve University. He has been a Professor at IIM, Ahmedabad and visiting faculty at the Case Western Reserve University.  He has co-authored several books.

Rajesh Chakrabarti, - Assistant Professor of Finance, CLIC Fellow
Rajesh Chakrabarti, a PhD from University of California at Los Angeles has written on various areas such as e-commerce, economics, and international business. His research interests include Indian Financial Markets, International Finance, Microfinance, and Political Economy.

 
Amit Nandkeolyar - Assistant Professor (Organizational Behavior)
Professor Amit’s current research interests lie in team learning, individual adaptation, negotiations and decision-making. He has published in top-tier management journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology and Personnel Psychology. Amit holds a PhD in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources from the University of Iowa (USA), an MBA from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and BE from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur.




Krishnamurthy Subramanian- Assistant Professor (Economics)
Professor Subramanian holds an MBA and PhD in Finance from University of Chicago, an MBA(Finance) from IIM, Calcutta and BTech (Electrical engineering) from IIT, Kanpur.  He has been recipient of several awards and research grants. He has published widely in top-tier journals. He is a columnist for the Financial Express.

Kanchan . M- Senior Researcher
A Masters in Commerce and PhD from University of Mysore, Kanchan has been teaching Accounting and Finance for several years. She has conducted research in the areas of corporate governance and CSR.  She has also started a course in e-governance sponsored by the UGC in University of Mysore.

Chandra Sekhar M – Research Associate
Chandra Sekhar did his Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He has three years of experience working on the finance module in ERP domain. His research area of interest is Finance.

Krithiga Sankaran, Researcher
Krithiga holds a bachelors degree (B.Tech.)in Industrial Biotechnology from Anna University, Chennai and a post graduate degree in management (PGDM) from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. Prior to joining CLIC, she worked with the Apollo Hospitals as a Senior Manager in the Corporate HR department. Outside of work, interests include solving crosswords, cooking and travelling.

Rajkamal Vasu – Research Associate
Rajkamal is an electrical engineer from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and an MBA in finance from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. He worked in the IT industry in the insurance domain prior to joining ISB and is currently a research associate with CLIC. His research area of interest is finance
 

Swagatika Nanda, Research Associate
Swagatika Nanda is a Research Associate in Centre for Leadership, Innovation and Change (CLIC) at ISB. Prior to joining ISB, she was working as an ESG Analyst (Environmental Social Governance) at Solaron Technology Venture Pvt Ltd., Bangalore. She has done her MPhil in Economics (International Trade and Growth) and currently pursuing PhD in the broad area of International Finance at University of Hyderabad (Central University).

Alexander Mathew, Research Associate
Alexander (Alex) holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from MG University and master’s degrees in Applied Psychology from Kerala University and in Management (Organizational Behavior) from IIT Madras. He has eight years of experience in teaching and behavioral research. His research interests include: Self and Identity, Power and Influence, Leadership, Mindfulness, and Well-being. He is also a Psychotherapist. His approach is eclectic, and he combines both eastern and western traditions in his practice.
