GOD Summit 2009

Global OD Summit 2009

The Global OD Summit (GODS) was held at the ISB on August 19-22, 2009, in association with IODA (International Organisation Development Association) and AODN (Asia OD Network).

The Summit theme for this year was “Fusion of Eastern and Western Principles-Creating Sustainable Development in OD”. A host of speakers from the Asian Sub- continent included Professor Prasad Kaipa, Executive Director, Centre for Leadership, Innovation and Change; Professor Ramkrishnan V Tenkasi, Benedictine University; Professor Udai Pareek, Indian Institute of Health Management Research and Willie Marais who is a practicing OD professional.

GODS 2009 is a unique forum where members of the Asia OD Network and IODA come together for the first time.  IODA’s purpose is dedicated to supporting and strengthening OD principles at the international level through research, academic OD programmes, peer mentoring and coaching, networking and sharing of knowledge, international projects, and cultural interchange.

The Asia OD Network (AODN) is a not-for-profit organisation formed in 2006 by a group of OD scholars and practitioners based in Asia to create an environment that renews the passion and search for excellence in OD practice resulting in wholesomeness in people, institutions and society.

The Summit focussed on strides made in the Indian OD spectrum and international experts contributed to a historical compilation of OD knowledge that would be a reference for generations to come. It was a unique opportunity to create something profound and path-breaking.
