Give us a brief on your background and career history. I have done my Masters in Science from Bharati Vidya Bhavans Vivekananda Degree and PG College. Thereafter, I got opportunities to work with Wipro, Icfai National College as a faculty and Techway Communications as Project Lead. All of the above mentioned experiences gave me a lot of exposure and confidence.
What attracted you to your current position? I was looking forward to working with a reputed institute like the ISB. The ISB is known for its work culture and environment that nurtures each and every employee. The added advantage was the fact that my husband works with Infosys, which is just across the road. Each time I would visit his office and glance at ISB, I would always wonder what it would be like to work there. The moment I got an opportunity, I took it up immediately.
What do you like most about your job at the ISB? The first and foremost aspect of the ISB, which I like, is that I get an opportunity to work with and learn more about various technologies and platforms. In the process I am gaining a lot of knowledge and honing my technical skills. I also get to interact with outside vendors which add to the comprehension of my work. Apart from all this, the ISB campus is beautiful and my colleagues here are very open and understanding. They take out time to explain things which are new to me.
What is the biggest challenge that you face here? The biggest challenge would be living up to the name of the ISB. ISB is a brand in its own, and each and every employee represents it.
What do you think about the work culture at the ISB? I find the work culture here very professional and competent. People at all levels are very open to suggestions and encourage you to come up with new and fresh ideas. Those ideas are not just heard but also implemented. The feedback system is also very transparent and efficient.
If you could share one tip with a new employee, what would it be? I would like to say that it’s an advantage for you if you are inquisitive enough to ask questions about things which are new, as the people here are very helpful in explaining things. In this way you gain a lot more than what you estimated.
