Bollywood workshops: This was the first workshop conducted by the club for Bollywood free-style lovers and beginners. Organized every weekend for 5 weekends, this workshop lifted the first hurdle for dancing enthusiasts to open up and discover their likes. Once the participants became comfortable in the free style, the classes were gradually phased out.
The workshops basically involved teaching students choreography to Bollywood music to songs from popular movies such as Jhoom bara bar Jhoom, Dil Se etc. Each session saw an increased number of participants due to good feedback through word of mouth.

AIKYA:  About 60 families from Hyderabad including many prominent business leaders became the hosts to ISB on the commencement of the AIKYA program. Dance club organized a special cultural program in collaboration with the Music and the Theatre club to welcome the families. The program started with a classical fusion and also included a sizzling Salsa performance by the dance group. The main attraction became the heart throbbing performance on a Bollywood number choreographed by our very own choreographers in the dance club core team.

SDIPA:  Dance club invited Shiamak Davar's Institute for the Performing Arts (SDIPA) coaches to conduct a month long course at ISB. The workshop received enormous response in participation from both the students and their families. Some joined to be the life of the next party and other just for a good workout.

Jive Classes: Pursuing the demand for ballroom dances and motivated by the fervent response from the bollywood style and SPIDA dance workshops; the dance club organized Jive classes every week for two terms. The credit of their success goes to Aishwarya and Siddharth Nair who took the responsibility of passing on their talent to colleagues on campus. The classes attracted numerous participants and managed to pep up spirits considerably. At the closure of the event, both Aishwarya and Siddharth agreed that the participants were ready to take on the floor at a formal event.

Dandiya Night: The Dandiya night was one of the most talked about events on campus. The event attained its full glamour due to a well executed plan by the SFA. The brightly lit and traditionally decorated atrium attracted atleast 250-300 ethnically clad people on the night of the event.
Prior to the event itself, the Dance club supported the SFA in organizing Dandiya training sessions. A well deserved thanks goes out to Dhaval Shah and Meha Grover who devoted their time to teach the traditional moves of Dandiya and Garba and ensure that the momentum was kept high.

ISB Day – The dance club’s performance on ISB day was not only one of the most memorable and professionally executed events but displayed the students’ true passion for dancing. Inspite of being held in mid-December at the peak of work pressure, the numerous practice sessions that the event required were fully attended.

The ISB day dance team comprised 15 of the school’s best and most enthusiastic dancers and even involved 2 highly talented academic associates. The team practiced for hours and hours together to perfect 4 dance pieces ranging from bollywood to jazz to contemporary styles.
