Activities
The EMO Club seeks to bring together and educate the students about the key issues faced globally in the energy and manufacturing space. Several initiatives are taken to ensure that the environment is conducive for bringing creative solutions to the industry.
Knowledge Sharing Sessions: The school has diversified set of students ,who bring along with them wide experience from different industries and domains. Knowledge sharing sessions provide the platform to student groups for sharing their experiences and insight about the various industries and sectors. 20-25 minute interactive sessions are led by students and brings the community together. Few topics discussed in the past were Energy sector: challenges and opportunities, Best practices in manufacturing industries.
Speaker Sessions: To gain the insight about the real world challenges, business leaders are invited to share their perspective in this arena. Key note speakers from various business aspects share a common stage where they interact with students and faculty members. The sessions are document based and each session is followed by interactive session. The session on “accelerating the growth of solar energy in India “ shall be organised soon. Industry Tours: Manufacturing and energy sector brings along set of challenges which are unique and could be learnt on the sites. The club makes an effort to visit small, medium and large scale industries around the Hyderabad to widen the horizon of the club members.
Tea with Faculty : Informal chat over a cup of tea is organized monthly so as to enhance the learning outside the classroom.
Energy Conclave: The flagship event of EMO club attracts the fraternity from all across the globe to discuss the sustained energy growth in the future. The event successfully includes keynote speeches by prominent leaders in the energy sphere, and panel discussions on key contemporary energy questions featuring global energy. Last year theme was "Emerging Energy Need ".
Global Supply Chain Summit :The flagship event of the supply chain management is organized in association with GLAMS( global logistics and manufacturing strategies) .The event aims at organizing Supply Chain Forum to provide industry, government and academia, a platform for discussion on current challenges and provide solutions for the same .
Energy Mentorship Programme: To ensure successful career building in energy and manufacturing sector mentor-mentee program me is available to the students. This gives insight about the career options, experience and the opportunities in the sector.
