Welcome!

The Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital (EVC) club is one the largest professional clubs at the Indian School of Business. The club focusses on encouraging and fostering entrepreneurship among the student body, provides practical learning opportunities to minimise risk and maximise success in ventures, and facilitates interaction with experienced entrepreneurs, industry experts and venture capitalists to gain insight and inspiration.

The club works closely with the Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development. The Wadhwani Centre focusses on building the necessary collaborative entrepreneurial ecosystem for Enterprise creation and Enterprise growth. The centre takes a three pronged integrated approach: Knowledge Creation, Knowledge Dissemination and Knowledge to Action to achieve this result. How can we help you?

EVC club takes a holistic approach in organising focussed events that adds the maximum value to our members. Our activities range from idea conceptualisation to business implementation. We provide you the practical learning to use and hone your entrepreneurship skills, we facilitate networking events to build relationships, both internal and external and organise knowledge development sessions to gain insight and ideas for your next venture.

We have a good number of events lined up for you to get immersed in the world of entrepreneurship: Start-up Fridays, Entrepreneurial Treks, Idea Factory, Pitch Factory, Metamorphosis, Asia Final of Venture Capital Investment Competition and Global Social Venture Competition, Family Business Conclave, Venture Capital Conclave, Speaker Sessions, other hands-on workshops.

How to get involved?

  1. Become a member of EVC Club.
  2. Take advantage of the numerous activities the club offers. Attend and participate. These experiences stay with you much longer than the grades you scored.
  3. Build relationships with the many experienced entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and other like minded professionals who participate in the EVC club activities. Eventually, it’s who you know that matters.
  4. We have a number of events focussed on your specific interest, but we also request you to explore other activities outside your interest area. You might be surprised at what you might find.

The club is passionate about promoting an entrepreneurial mind-set among the student body and intends to affirm ISB’s place as the best entrepreneurship school in the world.
