 Aditya Jain is an Assistant Professor of Operations at the Indian School of Business. The primary area of his current research is various theoretical and practical aspects of stochastic inventory management. Other research interests include issues in Operations-Finance Interface: Operations with Financed/Leased Capacity and the pricing of Third Party Logistic services.
Prior to obtaining his doctoral degree in Operations Management from the University of Rochester, Simon School of Business, Professor Jain worked in the Indian automotive industry. As a part of Supply Chain Management, Strategic Business Group of Tata Auto Component Systems, he carried out several projects in logistics (between automotive OEM and key component suppliers), productivity improvement and quality management. He is an active member of societies INFORMS & POMS and a member of POMS Education Committee.
