Tanuka Ghoshal Tanuka Ghoshal is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Indian School of Business. Her research interests include studying context effects in sequential judgment, the influence of nonconscious product-related factors like packaging and product shape on product evaluations, and behavioral game theory. She has presented her research at the INFORMS Marketing Science and the Association of Consumer Research conferences.

At the ISB, Professor Ghoshal teaches a course in Advertising where students learn to appreciate the key communication challenges in today’s rapidly changing marketing environment. Students also understand how to utilise frameworks to guide conversations with customers and to build brands as the environment evolves.

Professor Ghoshal has a PhD in Marketing from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA in Marketing from the Xavier Institute of Management. She was an Associate Project Director with the Indian Market Research Bureau where she was part of the brand team (research advisor) for leading brands of consumer packaged goods in India. She also supervised the market research of several national brands from conception to market and beyond. Her professional experience includes a stint with Britannia Industries Limited.
