Teaching Awards

The Professor of the Year Award at the ISB is a platform to celebrate outstanding teaching, and to express the students’ gratitude to the professor who creates an unequivocal impression on the student body. This award is in recognition not only of excellence in teaching, but also the ability to motivate students, and create a passionate interest in the respective subject.

In the last term of the year, the Academic Affairs Council, comprising students, meets with the Academic Services and Administration department and decides on the format of awards for the current academic year. Once the format of the award is decided a survey is built and sent to the student body. The survey includes a question on students' reasons for choosing a particular professor. Each student nominates one professor for the Core Terms and one for the Elective Terms. The results are tallied and announced to the ISB community before the Award ceremony which is held on the eve of the Graduation Day.
