Professor Sridhar Samu is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Indian School of Business. Prior to joining the ISB, Professor Samu was with the Marketing department at the University of Manitoba.

Professor Samu is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Nonprofit and Public Sector Marketing, a top tier journal in the Nonprofit marketing area. His research interests are in the areas of relationships between brands and consumers, brand building, nonprofit-business alliances and social marketing. His research on using advertising alliances for new product introduction was published in the Journal of Marketing. His recent research has focussed on joint relationships between brands and nonprofits and the impact of advertising on the success of brand and line extensions.

Professor Samu is the recipient of a number of grants such as the SSHRC Research Grant, and the Lettie Pate Evans Foundation Grant for Faculty Development. He has a PhD in Marketing from Indiana University, Bloomington and a PGDBM in Marketing from XLRI, Jamshedpur. His professional experience includes working at Blow Plast Ltd. and J K Synthetics.
