The unique aspect of this discussion is that we have speakers from very diverse backgrounds who hail from senior positions in their respective industries. This is a great opportunity for students to network with and learn from these industry experts’ experience and perspectives.
The Panellists:
Amarjot Sandhu is an alumnus of the Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and MDI. He also has the unique distinction of serving in arms of the Armed Forces post his graduation from NDA. He has been decorated with the Chief of Naval Staff commendation for his services. After his MBA, Sandhu worked at Bristol Myers Squibb managing the $1.3 billion “Abilify” brand. He moved back to India in 2008 to join Granules India where he is now a General Manager of Central Planning and Organisational Excellence.
Kamal Narang is an ISB alumnus from the founding class (Co2002). Following his graduation, he joined Capmark Overseas as its General Manager to help set up and scale the India operations. His role was cross-functional, with oversight over operations, control, administration, support, business process transition etc. He is now the Managing Director of the company providing various analytical, research and transaction services within the Commercial Real Estate Finance domain. Narang has complete responsibility of the India operation and is also part of the senior management team of the Global Services of Capmark Finance Inc.
Janardan Singh also belongs to the ISB’s founding class. Singh has 10 years of experience in diverse industries including Automobiles, Hospitality and Education across Operations, Marketing and General Management areas. Currently, he heads Zonal Operations at Rumi Schools of Excellence Pvt Ltd- India’s first chain of affordable schools, and a fully owned subsidiary of Singapore based Investment fund Orient Global.
