Dr Pratap Reddy is the founder of the Apollo Hospital Group, India's first corporate hospital group. He revolutionised the whole healthcare scenario of India and inspired others to follow suit. He also introduced India’s first hospital consultancy body - the Indian Hospitals Corporation - and commissioned two more Tertiary Care Centres in India. Today, the Apollo Hospitals Group has over 22 centres in major cities in India and is now expanding to other parts of Asia. The Group has a combined turnover of over US $ 100 million.
Dr Reddy’s latest initiatives are "Med Varsity"-a virtual medical university providing total access to experts in the field of medicine anywhere in the world- and "MEDNET" - Hospital Systems Management package. Both the initiatives are expected to transform the healthcare sector in India.

In addition to his work with clients, Go has served as Vice-Chairman and as a member of the Deloitte & Touche USA LLP Board of Directors and also the Deloitte Consulting Management Committee.

Dr Hasit Joshipura is Managing Director-India and Vice President-South Asia with GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd (GSK). He has been nominated by the Board of Governors of VJTI to their senate.
He joined the pharmaceutical business of Johnson & Johnson Ltd., as President and Executive Director in October 2001, a position he held until August 2006. He was also the Chair Person for the Corporate Contributions Programme, as well as the lead for Government Affairs for the Johnson & Johnson Group of businesses in India.
Dr Hasit has got 16 years of wide experience with the Unilever Group of companies in India and held positions of increasing responsibility in commercial, sales, marketing and business management functions, after having spent about three years with the Tata Administrative Services.

Vijay Chandru is the Chairman, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Strand Life Sciences. He is an academic turned entrepreneur, a Professor of Computer Science at the Indian Institute of Science. Chandru and his three colleagues founded Strand Life Sciences, India's first Life Sciences informatics company in October 2000. Strand is the recipient of the Frost & Sullivan Award for Excellence in Technology 2005 in the field of Bioinformatics. It has also been selected in the Red Herring Asia 100 – a list of 100 rising star technology companies in greater Asia.
He is also a Co-Founder and General Secretary of the Association of Biotech led Enterprises (ABLE). He is the recipient of several awards and honours: Hughes Fellow (1982-85), AT&T Fellow (1991-1993), elected Fellow of Indian Academy of Sciences (1996 - ), MCIT Dewang Mehta Award for Innovation in Information Technology (2001), University Grants Commission award for “Science and Society” (2003), AstraZeneca Chairman’s Award for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (2004), for contributions in computational biology.
Chandru received his PhD from MIT in 1982.

Dr K Ravindranath is the Managing Director of Global Hospitals. Having worked with several prestigious hospitals like Kings College Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital in the United Kingdom, he is one of the pioneering surgeons in the country in Laproscopic and Hepatobillary Pancreatic Surgery. He has performed over 15,000 laparoscopic operations including over 9000 laparoscopic gall bladder operations.
He is also the Founder Member and Past Treasurer of the Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia, Singapore. He is the first Indian to occupy this post. He obtained his FRCS from Glasgow and Edinburgh in 1985.

Dr B S Ajai Kumar is a radiation and medical oncologist with 30 years of experience in the US and India in the delivery of cancer care and the management of cancer centres. Dr Kumar was one of the founders of the Bangalore Institute of Oncology (BIO) in 1986 and acquired the Curie Centre of Oncology in 2000. He also founded the Bharath Hospital in 1990. Dr Kumar practised in the US as an oncologist from 1979 through 2002 and successfully established oncology physician practices in Burlington, Iowa and later in Chicago, Illinois. He relocated to India in 2002 to focus on building the cancer centres under HCG. Houston. Dr Kumar is also the Chairman of the International Human Development & Upliftment Academy (IHDUA). He was awarded ‘Face of the year 2006’ by Modern Medicare. He has also received the prestigious B C Roy Award and the Kannada Rajyotsava award.

Dr Kushagra Katariya is CEO of Artemis Health Sciences in India, and is a well known cardiothoracic surgeon. A graduate of Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, he has worked at Beth Israel Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine New York, Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami School of Medicine, Florida and until recently was Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Miami. An author of numerous books, monographs, and journals, Dr Katariya has been involved in a variety of research projects and has been invited to speak at a number of medical conferences around the world.

Subhanu Saxena is CEO, President of Novartis UK. Joining the UK from his previous position of Head, Infectious Disease Business Franchise in Basel, Subhanu's previous experience at Novartis includes leading the Primary Care negotiation group for Novartis Pharma, during which he and his team completed a number of significant transactions for Novartis including the acquisition of a majority stake in Idenix. Prior to this he worked in Novartis Consumer Health, where he led business development and licensing activities for nutrition. His previous work history has been with Citicorp, The Boston Consulting Group, and Pepsico, where he held various positions in finance, strategy, and business development. He has extensive international experience, having worked on projects in Asia and Africa. He lived in Moscow for two years working on a turnaround assignment.

Tapan Ray is the Director General of the Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI). He has thirty years national and international experience in the healthcare industry with pharmaceuticals, medical diagnostics, biotech, nutritional and hospital product business, based in India and UK. He has held various senior positions in MNCs like Glaxo (UK and India), Biddle Swayer, and Abbott Laboratories India, and Indian companies like Kopran and Samilabs. He has also been a President and Vice-President of OPPI. Along with this, he was the member of the National Drugs and Pharmaceutical Committee of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). At present, he is a visiting faculty and a keynote speaker in various national and international seminars and conferences.

Jasmin Patel was previously the COO for the Indian pharma business of leading MNC Novartis. He was responsible for the set up and development of a new pharma business in India which was expected to be the launch engine for select novel products from the Novartis pipeline. He has a B.Pharm degree with honours from Bombay University, a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from Duquesne University in the US, and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also spent 2 years training as PPG Post-doctoral Fellow at the world renowned Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California in the early 90’s. His scientific accomplishments include: 8 US and PCT patents; 20 published papers, reviews, articles and abstracts; and 25+ presentations at international congresses including the Gordon Research Conferences. Patel has served in leadership roles in organisations like the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, The Scripps Society of Fellows, on professional boards that include the San Diego Pharmaceutical Forum, American Chemical Society, and as reviewer for journals such as Pharmaceutical Research and Current Drugs.
