The Indian healthcare industry is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy. Over the last 20 years, the Indian healthcare system has made huge progress. However, today, we stand at an inflection point, where we not only need to maintain this rate of growth but also need to make healthcare more inclusive, accessible and affordable to the citizens of our country. Through this panel discussion, we attempt to reflect upon where we stand and the obstacles we face as a nation to achieve affordable and quality healthcare for all.

ISB Healthcare and Pharma Conclave
 
Healthcare and Pharma Conclave, initiated in 2005, is the flagship event of the Healthcare club and is the first student-led industry summit to be held in India. The event broke new ground in bringing together professionals from the pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare and IT industry to a common platform. In 2006, with a theme of “innovative ways to explore avenues for growth in healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors” the club partnered with OPPI in organizing the event. In 2007, in addition to the healthcare summit with theme of ‘Prescription for Tomorrow’, another event focused exclusively on the Pharmaceutical Industry, “Indian Pharma: Coming of AGE”, was also organized. The focus shifted to the emerging markets in 2008 with the theme “Lens on Emerging Markets”.
