Lakshmi Narayanan President & CEO, Cognizant Technology Solutions

Mr Lakshmi Narayanan has nearly three decades of experience in the Information Technology industry, including that of leading and managing divisions and business units in the US, Europe and India. Currently, he is the President & CEO of Cognizant, the only offshore IT services company on the NASDAQ 100 Index. His experience spans organizational strategy, customer relationship management, business development, and delivery and operations management. As a founding member of Cognizant, Mr Narayanan has been responsible for providing leadership for the company’s high-touch customer relationship and delivery excellence model, strategic development initiatives, long-term relationships with alliance partners, capacity growth and delivery management. Under his leadership, Cognizant recently clocked $1 billion in revenues—the youngest IT services company to reach that milestone; and also went past a market capitalization of $10 billion. Mr Narayanan has Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Science and Electronics and a post-graduate degree in Business Administration from the prestigious Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India.
