Dhaval Buch
Executive Director
Supply Chain, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL)
Dhaval Buch is a Mechanical Engineer. He joined HLL in 1984 as Management Trainee and further went on to work as Departmental Engineer in Personal Care in 1986 and ran PC manufacturing
from 1996 – 1998. He worked for 3 years in UK in Personal Care Engineering department and headed two new ventures for a couple of years (Ayush and Water). Buch ran the Household Care category from 2001 – 2003, and is currently Executive Director – Supply Chain for HUL and Vice President Supply Chain for South Asia.
He is married to a banker and they have a 17 year old son.
Sanjeev Rangrass
General Manager – Operations
ITC limited
Sanjiv Rangrass is currently Member Technical- Executive committee of the
Cigarette – Brands and Supply Chain vertical of ITC. His key
responsibilities include adoption of best manufacturing practices,
achieving benchmark performances in the areas of product quality,
responsiveness to market and costs and ensuring intake of talent and
its development. His responsibility spans across operations, supply
chain, engineering and human resources.
His key focus over the last decade has been in bringing in
scientific methods in business processes and has spearheaded changes
in planning process, quality processes and operations. The latest
has been the function wide implementation of Lean and Six Sigma.
During his tenure as General Manager (Operations) he introduced a
novel approach to innovations on the shop floor, coordinated
induction of technology in all plants and was responsible for
rapidly scaling up in operations in identified locations. Between
2001 and 2004, he led the HR function for Tobacco Division, being
the first General Manager in ITC to perform such a cross functional
assignment. In ITC, he has worked in various capacities across all
the manufacturing plants in the Tobacco Division.
Rangrass has extensive manufacturing experience comprising Supply
Chain Management, ERP, Quality Management and other significant
large scale Change Management initiatives.
He has also participated in the Executive programmes in Wharton and
Kellogg as well as the HR Leadership Programme at Michigan University.
He is a speaker at several educational institutions.
Rangrass is a Bachelor of Technology, Mechanical Engineering from IIT,
Kanpur.
He is currently a member of the PAN IIT, India Board and represents
IIT Kanpur on it.
He is also on the Board of Governors of the new IIM at Shillong.
Sundar Parthasarathy
Managing Director
Otis Elevators
Sundar Parthasarthy is with Otis since 2007 and the company is a market leader in
India for installing and servicing people moving systems such as
elevators, escalators and moving walkways. Otis revenues in India
exceed INR 1.25 billion (250 Million US $) annually with a service
base in excess of 40,000 installations around the country. The
company employs about 2500 people and has a state-of-the-art
manufacturing facility at Bengaluru. Prior to joining Otis,
Parthasarthy
was the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Cummins
Sales and Service (India) Limited, responsible for Cummins
distribution and after-market operations in India, Nepal and Bhutan.
Parthasarthy brings with him 23 years of sales, operations and leadership
experience, working in a variety of business and functional
environments. He began his career with Thermax Limited as Sales
Engineer and later held the position of Area Sales Manager for South
India. He has also worked with Kirloskar – AAF Limited as their
Deputy General Manager, Business Development and later with Wartsila
India Limited as Deputy General Manager – Sales, Northern and
Eastern Region.
Parthasarthy holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi
College of Engineering, India. In 1998, he went to the Leeds
University Business School, Leeds, UK, under the British Chevening
Scholarship Programme, coupled with a project assignment with Taylor
Woodrow plc, UK.
