Sachin Malhan
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Inclusive Planet

Sachin Malhan Sachin Malhan is an alumnus of the National Law School in Bangalore. After a year's stint at Amarchand Mangaldas, the nation's leading corporate law firm, he took the path of entrepreneurship. Since then, he has co-founded two industry-leading companies aside from Inclusive Planet. His first venture was Law School Tutorials , India's leading law test prep outfit with centres in more than 50 cities. It is a case study at the Indian School of Business and was acquired by leading edu-corporate Career Launcher in 2004. Malhan then co-founded Rainmaker Training and Recruitment which he led till March 2008. Rainmaker is a market leader in talent management services for the legal industry, and an emerging force in legal training and industry knowledge services. He continues to serve as a Director on the Rainmaker board.

Inclusive Planet

Inclusive Planet is creating innovative online services for the differently-abled with the vision of leveraging these services to building a community on the web. The common theme across their projects is ‘access’. The first of their services is a technology platform that enables the blind to find, share and access books and materials relevant to their study or leisure in formats totally accessible to them. In this they are collaborating with the Centre for Internet and Society and leading blind associations of the country and soon, school and college syllabi will be accessible, making this the world’s largest such library. Sachin has co-founded Inclusive Planet with Rahul Cherian, a NLS alumnus and expert in the intellectual property field, and Reuben Jacob who is a NIT Calicut graduate and CEO of Acrodelon Technologies with expertise in large-scale software systems.

Saloni Malhotra
CEO, DesiCrew Solutions Pvt Ltd

Saloni Malhotra Saloni Malhotra, Founder and CEO of DesiCrew Solutions Pvt Ltd, demonstrated a new model for the BPO industry by penetrating the remote places. DesiCrew introduced the concept of BPO to rural areas increasing employment opportunities for women, additional income, access to global industry, entrepreneurship in rural areas income of the population. She started her career in an interactive media start up, Web Chutney in Delhi. For her work with DesiCrew she has been nominated for BusinessWeek's Asia's Youngest Entrepreneurs, MTV Youth Icon 2008 and was also felicitated in the presence of the President of India by the CII. She has done her engineering from the University of Pune.

Sweta Mangal
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, ‘Dial 1298 for Ambulance’

Sweta Mangal Sweta Mangal is the Co-Founder and CEO of “Dial 1298 for Ambulance”. She with four other friends started the service with just 10 ambulances and today it has more than 80 ambulances. She also co-founded Mangal Newton School (MNS) in 2007. She devised an innovative model for international exposure to the students studying in the school by developing a tie-up for student and teacher exchange with one of the top London schools. In one year, the number of students at MNS increased from 163 to 350. Her professional stint includes work in corporations like Zee, Tata AIG Life Insurance and Marico. She is also trustee of Life Supporters Institute of Health Sciences.
Mangal has done her MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester USA. She is also the recipient of one of the most prestigious scholarships called the Gurukul Chevening Scholarship at the London School of Economics in 2007.

‘DIAL 1298 for Ambulance’

‘Dial 1298 for Ambulance’ is an initiative to provide a network of fully equipped life support ambulances 24 hours x 7 days a week. The service was launched in Mumbai on May 21, 2005 with technical and managerial assistance from London Ambulance Service and New York Presbyterian EMS, two of the world’s largest and best Ambulance Services.

In case of a medical emergency, a person can dial 1298 from any phone to access a fully equipped Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulance within the shortest possible time. ‘Dial 1298 for Ambulance’ service currently covers Greater Mumbai with 51 ambulances and seven districts in Kerala State - Ernakulam, Thrissur, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, Thiruvanathapuram and Kottayam districts with 30 ambulances. Its service is provided free to victims of road accidents and mass casualty incidents in Mumbai and in Kerala. On June 2, 2009, ambulance service was launched in Patna, Bihar in a Public Private Partnership (PPP) with the government of Bihar to provide 10 Life support ambulances.
