Deepak Chandra

Deepak Chandra is the Deputy Dean of the Indian School of Business (ISB).

As the Deputy Dean, Chandra is responsible for understanding and interpreting the market / industry needs and influencing delivery through the School’s knowledge creation and dissemination activities.

Chandra oversees Executive Education, Admissions and Career Advancement Services for both the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and the Post Graduate Programme in Management for Senior Executives (PGPMAX), Business Affairs (Finance, Operations Projects, Purchase, Human Resources, and Legal) and Advancement (Alumni Relations, Development, Marketing and  Communications).

He was previously the Associate Dean of the Centre for Executive Education (CEE) at the School. In this role, he drove the development and growth of the CEE. Under his leadership, the CEE evolved into the leading provider of executive education in India and Asia. He was also responsible for conceptualising, designing, and launching PGPMAX.

Chandra regularly advises Private, Public and Government sector organisations on their learning and development strategy. He has worked with several firms in India and abroad, and helped them align capability development with their strategic challenges. He has also created pioneering learning initiatives with positive returns on learning investments. To add to his experience in knowledge dissemination, Chandra is also regularly invited by business schools to address their students.

After completing his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Allahabad, India, Chandra worked in the industry and gained rich experience in the areas of marketing management and business strategy, formulation and implementation. He has also established and managed an education-consulting firm specialising in sales, marketing, and key account management.

Chandra is passionate about education and has managed large education initiatives for underprivileged sections of society, with support from the government, and national and international development agencies. A true entrepreneur in spirit and soul, challenge and change are his two principal motivators.
