Media Conclave 2009

The Media Conclave is the flagship event of the Media Club at the Indian School of Business. This year’s Conclave features two panel discussions comprising prominent personalities of the media industry. “Riding the New Wave: Opportunities and Challenges in a digital world”, featuring Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Ambareesh Murty and Alok Kejriwal followed by “Indian Media: Ready For Take-Off Again”, with AP Parigi, Ravi Kiran, Bhaskar Das, Rajesh Sawhney, Shravan Shroff and Puneet Kinra.”

ILS Media Track

Technology innovations in production, distribution and exhibition have bought with it a changing social order as well. The producers and the audiences are converging and the ‘mass’ medium is becoming more and more personal. However is India leading this change or following the trend? Are media companies truly ready to innovate? What role should regulation play in creating new rules for the game? How can we create loyalists in the dynamic world of cross media consumption? And perhaps most crucially, what do we keep and what do we abandon as we transition?

The media track for this ILS will be focused on “From one media to multi-media – how convergence has changed the industry”.
