What were some of the factors you kept in mind while taking the decision of joining the ISB?
An ideal MBA programme is about leadership, positive impact, and a diverse, collaborative community. Seated in India and offering a global perspective, ISB promised to provide me with a platform to participate in global dialogues and be at the forefront of thought leadership. The intense 1 year management programme was sure to instill key decision-making and time-management skills with minimal opportunity loss. ISB clearly exceeded my expectations.

Describe some of your significant experiences with your peers on campus.
Diversity at ISB isn't just a buzz word. We live it every day. We learn from it every day. ISB adorns a culture, which is collaborative, intellectual and fun. My experiences with my peers have taught me how to dream big, learn from failures, and strive for success. And it’s not just about professional diversity. Thanks to my peers, I have had the chance to get a portfolio shot by a passionate photographer, treat myself to a sumptuous meal prepared by a chef and learn about the coffee plantations, all on campus!

What is the ‘ISB Torchbearer’ award and how do you feel after being announced the winner of the same?
The ISB Torchbearer award is an award for leadership and exceptional contribution to the ISB community and to ISB’s brand building.  Winning the award gives me immense confidence in my capabilities and echoes the very thought in my mind that at ISB everybody gets an opportunity to contribute. No matter what your interests or what you want to try, the community here will support and recognise your endeavours.

The ISB was recently ranked 12th by the Financial Times, London. What do you have to say about the same?
Way to go! ISB deserves the title and I am sure we will continue to move up the ranks – given the fact that the entire ISB community strives for continuous growth and improvement. I'm proud that ISB is fast emerging as a force to reckon with at the international level.

What are your key takeaways from the PGP programme going to be?
ISB has been more of an experience than just a curriculum or a school. While I acquired numerous management skills and learned to think critically about business, my greatest development was as an individual. In particular, two great skills I acquired were working in collaborative environments and handling difficult conversations. That said, my most cherished takeaway from the programme is a set of lifelong friends and memorable experiences.

Describe a typical day for you at the ISB.
There are no typical days at ISB. Days are action packed and busy, with both work and fun. Every day at ISB I could choose my own "package" of experiences. I would usually wake up early in the morning, check my mails, attend classes and have insightful discussions before breaking for lunch. Evenings were for study group meetings, assignments, and recreational activities. Post dinner we would have either have some more study group meetings, prepare for some upcoming sports/cultural competitions or just chill out with friends. Most midnights were spent celebrating birthdays by 'dunking' people into the swimming pool! We were almost always running out of time to submit our assignments, or to attend a party! The night would end with sleeping to the sound of peacocks outside my window...
