Why the ISB?
As a Corporate lawyer, I was looking to leverage my legal acumen with a finance skill set. I was interested in a B-school that can enable me to gain international exposure but was still India-centric. I believe that in India there are tremendous opportunities to make a difference. Having already studied law in India, the one year advantage was also significant.

As a corporate lawyer, what made you opt for this Programme and how do you think it will contribute to your career growth?
In my profession, I have constantly interacted and worked with finance consultants, that is when I felt the need to enhance my understanding and combine my legal knowledge and experience with the financial expertise. I am confident that this PGP programme will help me to grow in my career.

What are some of the opportunities you are looking forward to?
I believe that for an ISB student, the world is just a playground, where a plethora of opportunities are available. What matters is how many of these one can grab. I am looking forward at the exposure to a global curriculum, world-class faculty, high quality peer group and learning from their experiences both professionally and personally.

How has the ISB surprised you?
What stands out most to me is the emphasis the ISB places on mixing learning with recreation. Not only do we have a fantastic recreation centre where students can play sports ranging from badminton and tennis to squash and billiards, but due importance is also given to Social Clubs such as the Photography, Dramatics and Music.

On your peer group
The peer group at the ISB comprises of students from all walks of life, and includes engineers, accountants, scientists, journalists, entrepreneurs and sportspersons – with each student an achiever in his field of expertise. Not only am I learning from their experiences, but also get a different perspective and style of thinking from them, which goes beyond the realm of classroom teaching, which will hold me in good stead.

How would you describe the ISB to a prospective student?
Nothing describes the ISB more appropriately than its song – “ISB, place to be.” The ISB has state-of-the-art facilities, a fantastic peer group and an enviable list of superb faculty.
