Coming from a hospitality background what made you take up management studies?
My primary motivation for pursuing a management degree stemmed from my desire to expand my horizons beyond hospitality. I felt certain key leadership traits that I lacked could only be inculcated through a formal management degree.

Amongst all the major B-schools, what were your reasons for selecting the ISB?
My primary reason for opting for ISB is the School’s unique education model which includes a selection of world-class faculty from schools such as Kellogg, Wharton and LBS; an inspiring peer group, which is diverse ensuring an enriching ‘outside the classroom’ experience; and the unmatchable campus life.

How do you think that the ISB network that is your peer group, faculty and alumni will benefit your career?
The ISB alumni network is growing rapidly and is diverse with representation in various sectors of the economy. They are easily approachable and extremely helpful. The diverse peer group with their willingness to always help a colleague in need will always be a great support system for me. The faculties at the Indian School of Business are experienced, respected and well-networked. They are more than willing to go out of their way and help students.

What do you think about the one year curriculum at the ISB?
The one-year curriculum at ISB is intense and requires a strong degree of focus and commitment. It also gives one the opportunity to excel under pressure and scale the learning curve quickly, while saving a great deal of time and opportunity costs.

Tell us something about your experiences at the Orientation Week.
O-Week was a thrilling experience with fun activities happening each day. More than anything, the activities were designed to help us ‘get to know’ and bond with our classmates – our support system for the year. Like all things at ISB, the orientation week was also intense but got one ready for the rigours of the course ahead.

How would you describe the ISB to a prospective student?
ISB will challenge you at every moment of the year that you spend here. It will allow you to push your limits and discover strengths, which you never thought existed. The student body comprises of exceptional people who are fiercely competitive ensuring you never lose your focus. More importantly, you will make ‘friends for life’ and experience the most exciting year of your lives.
