What were your reasons of choosing ISB over other B-schools? ISB offers a competitive one-year programme that’s ideal for a person like me who doesn’t want to spend so much time away from her career.
What are your impressions about your peer group? My peers work and play harder than most. They’re joiners, ready to be a part of any and every experience they can. They’re driven, brilliant, and true friends.
How has your experience with the faculty been? Faculty members open their minds and their doors to all students. They are accomplished in their fields and use their expertise to listen, discuss, coach, and teach.
Tell us something about the ISB that has surprised you or that you weren’t expecting. I’m overwhelmed by the collaborative spirit of the ISB. Though, the competitive drive remains (the desire to be the best), it doesn’t interfere with the cooperation, kinship, and feeling of community that my classmates and I share.
What suggestions would you like to give to a prospective international student about settling down at the ISB? Embrace India’s cultural and other differences. If you want to get as much out of your experience here as possible, eat Indian food, make Indian friends, wear Indian attire, listen to Hindi music, and be ready to dance at a wedding. You’ll have a better understanding of an Indian’s perspective, and a lot of fun too.
