 Reasons for selecting ISB
I chose India because of my persevering personal interest in its rich culture and general interest in travelling to places that I have never seen before. More specifically, I chose ISB because of what it has been able to accomplish in the few years since its inception in building a world class educational institution, academically comparable to any renowned and well-reputed MBA Programme, yet distinguishable in so many aspects. The most remarkable fact about the ISB is that it attracts a student body comprising the pinnacle in intellectual talent, complimented by diverse and significant years of professional experience.
On the infrastructure and other resources at ISB
ISB’s campus infrastructure, including its residential facilities, is truly remarkable; the extensive resources made available to the students and faculty enable exhaustive fulfilment of any academic and/or general industry/market research requirement. The maintenance staff that manage the residential and general facilities is composed of a group of people for whom I just cannot express the credit that they deserve. Aside from the impeccable services they provide and willingness to satisfy every request, they bring with them a human aspect which is almost moving in the joy they bring with them while working. ISB also gives you a chance to unwind after the demanding academic work load; the School provides recreational facilities to satisfy a wide range of athletic and social interests.
On your peer groups
I still remember anticipating the impact that I would encounter in partaking in such a difficult yet rewarding programme in a country that I had never visited prior to ISB. The anticipation turned out to be unwarranted, negated by a very warm student body that is always willing to reciprocally extend a hand to each other.
On ISB’s learning model and Faculty
ISB has the benefit of being located in a country where the economy is in the midst of a remarkable growth. Because of this, the students are exposed to studies and cases containing distinctive business environments, frameworks and behaviours which encourage a truly global perspective. The list of faculty, both permanent and visiting, is a blend of outstanding professors from whom I have absorbed immense knowledge -professors whose capabilities are enhanced by the fact that they too seem mutually enthusiastic to be a part of the stimulating environment which ISB sustains. I had the opportunity to attend numerous other MBA Programmes and I can genuinely say that I have made the wisest decision for my future by coming to ISB. |
