Careers
The Indian School of Business (ISB) has been a pioneer of sorts in its placement records over the last few years. The School has facilitated dramatic careers shifts, initiated the trend of lateral placements in India, and secured leadership positions for women – essentially raising the benchmark for B-school graduates.
The Career Advancement Services (CAS) office at the ISB assists students in making the right career choices. It does not focus only on getting the best compensation for students, but lays emphasis on the importance of job satisfaction – of finding the “best fit.” Students receive personalised guidance in defining and attaining their career objectives through counselling, skill development workshops and career information services.
Students can also seek guidance on career matters from the Advisory Board, a six-member team, comprising top HR talent management professionals from Indian and international companies. This brings an “industry perspective” to CAS’ operations. Even after students graduate from the ISB, they can seek the guidance of CAS in advancing their career or for networking purposes.
With an average work experience of five years, ISB students are guided by CAS in finding career opportunities that fully leverage upon their prior work experience, maturity and skills. Students who wish to switch career tracks or sectors will receive assistance in exploring these aspirations. The goal of CAS is to help students find career opportunities in the best of organisations, with improved roles and responsibilities, world class remuneration and at the best locations in India and abroad.
