Placement Highlights 2009
|
Placement Report
|
The placements season for the Class of 2009 has been quite distinct from the previous years. In this tough job market, a strong impetus provided by the School and its community of students, alumni, and other stakeholders ensured that there was a greater breadth and diversity of companies that came to campus to recruit, and a wider variety of industries/job roles. Students also complemented the School’s efforts with their own, to get their preferred jobs.
Thanks to all the efforts, the average outgoing salary was more than twice the average incoming salary; the average domestic CTC was a little over INR 15 Lacs. There was relatively less variation in salaries offered across different sectors.
Several students from the Class of 2009 went on to become entrepreneurs. The increase in these numbers is a result of the School’s ongoing efforts to encourage entrepreneurship; special incentives and scholarships are being given to ISB students who choose to become entrepreneurs.
