Why the ISB?
The intense curriculum, world class faculty, diverse student body and superb facilities make the ISB a global B-school. The icing on the cake was that the ISB offered me a chance to complete a full time post graduate programme in just twelve months. Before I actually joined, I was given an opportunity to attend a class; I was struck by the intellectually stimulating debate by the students and the quality of the faculty. 

You own a family business, what made you opt for this Programme and how do you think it will contribute to your career growth?
I was involved in the marketing department of my family business. I realised the need to have a comprehensive understanding of other functional areas and decided to go for a top general management programme. I was also looking at some entrepreneurial opportunities prior to joining the ISB, and trust that I would be better placed to pursue my ideas once I had gained the required knowledge here. I have met students who share similar entrepreneurial interests and I believe that the PaEV, ELP, and resources available with the WCED will help in my future plans.

What are some of the opportunities you are looking forward to?
I am looking forward to interact, learn and gain knowledge from the experiences of my peer group who are from different fields. I am also excited about the opportunities which will help me build a professional network with some of the brightest and most talented people in the country.

How has the ISB surprised you?
Though I was expecting a diverse group of students, the sheer breadth of skills and interests here have really surprised me. Our batch includes a trained carnatic singer, a former national hockey captain, successful entrepreneurs, civil servants, doctors and an amazing array of people from all walks of life. 

On your peer group
Apart from being really talented and competitive, I believe it is the collective humility of the student body as a whole that really sets apart this amazing peer group. You can always find a helping hand willing to take time out from their busy schedules. For e.g. in the beginning of the term few students took tutorials in various subjects to help out fellow students. Considering how precious time at the ISB is, this is more than anything else that reflects the spirit and nature of the student body.

How would you describe the ISB to a prospective student?
Though the term world-class is bandied about with alarming regularity in today’s world, it is definitely a word that fits the ISB. The top class visiting and resident faculty members, fantastic infrastructure, dedicated administration, and competitive student body with amazing diversity and experience truly sets the ISB apart.
