Reasons for selecting ISB
No other b-school in the world can provide a world-class management programme delivered by best faculty, among the best peer groups, in one year.

On the infrastructure and other resources at ISB
Calling it “world class” would be an understatement. I would say “You have to see it to believe it”.

On your peer groups
The peer group at ISB is very diverse and creates an intellectually stimulating environment. Here I can learn marketing from a marketing industry veteran, finance from an investment banker, entrepreneurship from a businessman, economics from a civil servant, and leadership from army personnel.

On ISB’s learning model
The learning model is largely case based. Although, initially it seems tough, it is the best form of learning for a management programme because it puts the student in an almost real life situation. Features like regular corporate interactions, leadership development programmes and exchange programmes, among others add to the overall learning experience.

On the faculty at ISB
The most important aspect of the faculty here is that they are experts in their respective fields and possess deep industry knowledge. So, in addition to the regular classroom learning, I can learn a lot from them with regard to the industry trends, best practices and opportunities arising in that field.

On leadership skills acquired at ISB
ISB has a Leadership Development Programme spread across six months and attended by all students. Here we learn multiple things ranging from business presentations to in-depth problem solving skills. Few of these classes are held by the industry leaders in the Consulting sector such as McKinsey & Co.

On your learning experiences with the Student Clubs
Whatever cannot be covered as part of the curriculum is handled in the student club activities. This includes understanding industry trends, sharing industry specific knowledge, gathering market news and other activities. Student clubs are also very instrumental in organizing speaker sessions by renowned persons from the industry.

How this programme will benefit your career
In my view, a person’s successful career depends on primarily three things – knowledge, skill and network. At ISB, in addition to the immense learning and skill building, I get a wonderful network of friends (alumni, classmates and future students) all of whom are future industry leaders. This means even after passing out, if someday I feel the need, I can dig into this large pool of people who will be ready to help me.
