On ISB’s learning model
ISB’s learning model is a strict departure from the method of teaching, we as Indians, have been exposed to and in that way, extremely refreshing. We have case studies, online simulation games, presentations, role plays and a host of other unique methods of learning. This type of a unique learning model promotes concept building rather than just learning by rote. Though intense, it is a lot of fun.

On the faculty at ISB
The faculty at ISB is to put it simply - phenomenal; they are regarded as among the best in the world in their area of expertise. They are not just teachers but are involved in numerous consultancy assignments and are active researchers; hence they tend to bring in their latest research to class. Being exposed to such a world class faculty, we got exposure to the latest management concepts, even before they appear in management text books.

On leadership skills acquired at ISB
ISB has a student governing body called the Graduate Student Board (GSB); apart from this, the School also has a number of clubs, which routinely organize several events. These student bodies provide for phenomenal leadership opportunities.

We also have a required course called the Leadership Development Programme (LDP). LDP is a wonderfully designed course and builds diverse leadership skills such as influencing skills, interpersonal skills, etc. LDP also utilises a 360 degree feedback to provide for a customized and focused developmental plan.
Personally, I have benefited immensely through this course and the leadership skills, where I see the maximum improvements in influencing skills, maturity and interpersonal relations.

On the infrastructure and other resources at ISB
It is unfortunate how often we take ISB’s infrastructure for granted. Often we need an outsider’s perspective to remind us of our exceptional facilities. We have almost all sports which students are keen on playing. Squash, badminton, and tennis courts. Football, cricket grounds, a gym and a swimming pool. We just don’t have the time to use them.
The housekeeping staff is on call 24 hours and makes your bed everyday when you leave for class. It is almost as if we have been provided with all the comforts in the world in a bid to tell us that all our waking hours should be spent studying.

On your interactions with your peer groups
A diverse and experienced peer group is one of the major highlights at ISB. The study groups have been designed to provide a mix of experiences and professional backgrounds and are instrumental in the unique learning model.
Interaction with peers takes place at many levels - we have knowledge sharing sessions, networking events, parties and many other events, where a student might get an opportunity to interact with his peers and learn from them.

Personally, I have learnt a lot from my peers. About work, careers and life in general. ISB would not have been the same without the diversity and experience of its students.

How this programme will benefit your career
ISB is already contributing to my career in a number of areas. It is teaching me how to make use of data or information to make better decisions, how to think through a business idea at two different levels, the strategic as well as the operational level. ISB is providing me with phenomenal networking opportunities with some of the most eminent business leaders of the country. But most importantly, it is teaching me the importance of continuous learning, even after I graduate.
