Summer Research Conference 2007 in Finance
The Centre for Analytical Finance (CAF) at the Indian School of
Business (ISB), Hyderabad, India, will host the Summer Research
Conference 2007 in Finance during August 9 - 12, 2007. The
paper sessions will take place in Max Lecture Theatre in the
Academic Centre on the ISB campus.
The theme of the conference is Corporate Finance. Apart from ISB faculty, the conference programme committee includes Franklin Allen (Wharton), Arnaud Boot (Amsterdam), Glenn Boyle (New Zealand Institute for the Study of Competition and Regulation), Bhagwan Chowdhry (UCLA), Stijn Claessens (IMF), Francesca Cornelli (London Business School), Sudipto Dasgupta (HKUST), Joseph Fan (CUHK), Thomas Hellmann (UBC), Kose John (NYU), Han Kim (Michigan), Vojislav Maksimovic (Maryland), Massimo Massa (INSEAD), Tom Noe (Tulane), Terry Odean (Berkeley), NR Prabhala (Maryland), Manju Puri (Duke), Subrata Sarkar (Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research), Rangarajan Sundaram (NYU), and Anjan Thakor (Washingtion-St. Louis).
This year we received a total of 100 submissions for 17 spots on the programme. The number as well as the high quality of many submissions resulted in keen competition for selection. All accepted papers went through two rounds of reviewing: an initial round for appropriateness and quality and a final round when they were ranked against each other. The final reviewing committee included Franklin Allen (Wharton), Bhagwan Chowdhry (UCLA), Stijn Claessens (IMF), Francesca Cornelli (London Business School), Sudipto Dasgupta (HKUST), Joseph Fan (CUHK), Thomas Hellmann (UBC), Kose John (NYU), Han Kim (Michigan), Vojislav Maksimovic (Maryland), Massimo Massa (INSEAD), Tom Noe (Tulane), NR Prabhala (Maryland), Manju Puri (Duke), Subrata Sarkar (Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research), Rangarajan Sundaram (NYU), Rangarajan Sundaram (NYU) and Anjan Thakor (Washingtion-St. Louis).
There will be USD 5,000 award generously funded by Citigroup for the best paper presented at the conference.
CAF organises two research conferences each year: one in the summer (mid-August) and the other in the winter (late December).
