One of the goals of the WCED is to provide a meeting ground for students and the business community. The Centre organises a series of lectures by entrepreneurs, business leaders, technology experts and venture capitalists, enabling students to learn from the experiences of people who have created wealth. 
 
Students learn how entrepreneurs realise innovative ideas and exploit opportunities to create value for their organizations. They also get a chance to meet with these achievers, in smaller groups. in order to understand the global management issues facing business leaders and organizations in all parts of the world. Leading entrepreneurs and venture capitalists share their experiences in opportunity identification, enterprise creation, team-building and growth strategies.
 
The students at ISB benefited from interactions with many entrepreneurs and venture capitalists invited by the WCED. Some of these interactive sessions are organised along with the Hyderabad chapter of TiE.
