Dr Mitrabarun Sarkar shared his thoughts on Innovation Management with K-Hub Winners’ Club members. After his address, there was an exchange of interesting and relevant questions from K-Hub members.

Speaker Profile 

Dr Mitrabarun Sarkar is an Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship in the Management department, College of Business, University of Central Florida. He received his PhD from Michigan State University in 1999, and is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi. His research and teaching interests lie primarily in the area of technology strategy & innovation management.

Mitrabarun has published in journals such as The Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of International Business Studies and The Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science among others. He co-authored paper on spin-outs, or entrepreneurial ventures formed by ex-employees of incumbent organizations, won the 2005 AMJ Best Paper Award.

He has several awards to his credit, the Institute for the Study of Business Markets Doctoral Support Award (1998); the George Day Award for the Best Doctoral Dissertation Proposal (1998;  the Mary Kay Award for the best Marketing dissertation awarded by The Academy of Marketing Science (1999), and runner-up in the John A. Howard-AMA Doctoral Dissertation Award offered by the American Marketing Association (2000).
