A unique initiative connecting entrepreneurs with venture capitalists, angel investors and bankers, Propero aims to give a platform to entrepreneurs from across India to raise equity or debt financing. At the same time, it provides investors access to high quality, scalable business plans from various sectors. This year, Propero will be held at ISB, Hyderabad, on February 24-25, 2012.

The inaugural Propero event, held in 2010, was a resounding success. We had 28 investors and 60 entrepreneurs participating in the event. This year, the Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (WCED) is building on that foundation in two ways. Externally, it is opening the competition to a larger group of entrepreneurs. Internally, it is joining hands with ISB’s newly-formed Centre for Investment. This year, we are inviting all the bankers who finance entrepreneurs through Credit Guarantee funds along with angels and VCs.  The shortlisted ventures will be mentored by ISB before they are presented to the investors/bankers.
