He holds a Ph.D. at the University of California, Berkeley after graduating from the IIT, Madras, and IIM, Ahmedabad. He was a Professor of Information, Risk, and Operations Management at the University of Texas.

Ramnarayan Subramaniam
Institute of Management Professor Ramnarayan has been a Professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Visiting Faculty at the Case Western Reserve University, leveland, Ohio and a Guest Professor at the University of Bamberg, Germany. His initial years were with industry, where he worked for close to 10 years. He  has also been a consultant to a large number of Organisations in the areas of change and leadership development. He has carried out research assignments  funded by the US Office of Personnel Management, Ford Foundation, World Bank, Commonwealth Secretariat, Department for International Development,  and German Sciences Foundation. Apart from books on Change Management,  Organisation Development and Strategic Management of Public Enterprises, Professor Ramnarayan has edited a book of Cases in Organisational Behaviour.

Shailendra Mehta
Academic Director

Dr Shailendra Raj Mehta is Academic Director of Duke Corporate Education (Duke Universitys Custom Corporate Education arm) and Visiting Professor of Business Policy at IIM-Ahmedabad. He returned to India to head the collaboration between Duke CE and IM-Ahmedabad in India and the Middle East. Prior to this he was at Purdue University for 16 years, where he taught Economics and strategic Management. In 1999 he founded (along with Prof. Alok Chaturvedi) SEAS LLC which in 2001 morphed into simulex Inc. a high-tech company in the Purdue Technology Park. He continues to serve on the board of SimulexHe has a BA and MA is from Delhi University He has also done his MPhil from Balliol College, Oxford, and a Ph.D. from Harvard.
