Sanjay Kallapur

B. Com., University of Bombay, 1983; M.B.A., Jamnalal Bajaj Institute, University of Bombay, 1985; Ph.D., Business Economics, Harvard University, 1990. Professor Kallapur is Senior Associate Dean - Faculty and Research and Associate Professor of business in the accounting area at the Indian School of Business. He was a tenured associate professor at the Krannert School of Mangement, Purdue University, prior to joining ISB. He teaches financial and managerial accounting and conducts empirical research in financial and managerial accounting, auditing, and corporate governance. He has published in major accounting journals such as The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, and the Journal of Business, Finance, and Accounting. Professor Kallapur has also taught at the University of Arizona, University of California at Irvine, and the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology. Professor Kallapur is a member of the American Accounting Association. He has served as an ad-hoc reviewer for almost all of the major accounting journals, and is a member of the editorial advisory and review board of The Accounting Review.
