The Centre for Analytical Finance (CAF) at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, India, hosted the Summer Research Conference 2006 in Finance during August 13-14, 2006. The programme committee for the conference consisted of Franklin Allen (Wharton), Bhagwan Chowdhry (UCLA), Francesca Cornelli (London Business School), Sankar De (CAF, ISB), Michael Gordy (Federal Reserve Board & ISB), Sudip Gupta (ISB), Ravi Jagannathan (Kellogg), Kiran Kumar (CAF, ISB), Ramana Sonti (ISB) and Luigi Zingales (Chicago).

This year we received a total of 94 submissions for 11 spots on the programme. The number as well as the high quality of many submissions resulted in keen competition for selection. All accepted papers went through two rounds of reviewing: an initial round for appropriateness and quality and a final round when they were ranked against each other. The final reviewing committee included Franklin Allen (Wharton), Bhagwan Chowdhry (UCLA), Francesca Cornelli (London Business School), and Ravi Jagannathan (Kellogg).
