CEE Real Estate Programme – First of its Kind and India Specific

The CEE  recently conducted a pioneering Real Estate Programme that focussed on the learning needs specific to this vertical The programme was designed to provide the necessary tools and understanding to real estate professionals in India.
The Programme was led by Kerry Vandell, Professor of Finance and Director of the Centre for Real Estate at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California-Irvine.
Participants were familiarised with concepts like market analysis, feasibility analysis, appraisal, and that all-important concept of “highest and best use”. Best practices in property, asset management, and secrets of success through strategic management of the real estate enterprise were shared by Professor Vandell.

Beyond traditional lectures and problem-solving exercises, the class formulated solutions to real-world management and investment decisions. Several guest lecturers and panels, composed of professionals from the Indian real estate community, provided case studies of recently-undertaken and planned real estate projects. The participants also engaged in substantive discussion of the legal, economic, and institutional environments they faced.
