Incubation

CIE aims to foster a vibrant ecosystem for the creation and growth of enterprises. The centre seeks to contribute, both to the advancement of knowledge and the practise of entrepreneurship.  One of the Objectives of the School is to support entrepreneurial creation and growth aspirations in key sectors including technology commercialisation in collaboration with internal and external partners. To achieve this objective, ISB has set up DLabs Incubation Association (DLabs), Atal Innovation Mission (AIS) and Entrepreneur Development Initiative (EDI). 

DLabs
DLabs is the incubation and acceleration arm of Indian School of Business set up in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. It aims to support the creation of a vibrant and high impact entrepreneurial ecosystem focused on innovation in key sectors including technology commercialisation. DLabs leverages the vast resources, expertise and networks of Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at ISB through mentorship, education and investor connect.

EDI

Entrepreneurs Development Initiative (EDI) is an incubation programme to help immediate ISB graduates create and sustain their own ventures. The programme facilitates the following:

  • Helps in development and review of the business plan
  • Provides initial financial support to set up and operate the business
  • Provides mentoring and business resources from CIE, ISB and industry experts
  • Provides access to networking opportunities with other new business owners

The PGP Co 2015 through their class gift to the school, set up an endowment to support a student each year who has been selected under EDI. The class representatives are themselves involved in the selection for the benefactor student among those short listed for the EDI. The class has chosen "Sriram Ananthanarayanan" PGP Co 2017 from the team "Brevity" a startup short listed under EDI. 

TiE is a non-profit, global community welcoming entrepreneurs from all over the world. They believe in the power of ideas to change the face of entrepreneurship and growing business through the five pillars; mentoring, networking, education, incubating and funding. TiE was founded in 1992 by a group of successful entrepreneurs and is currently the world’s largest entrepreneurial organisation out there. With programs like TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) and Mentor Match, they are reaching out and fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs.
