ISB Leadership Summit (ILS)

India R&D 2011 New Delhi, November 02-03, 2011
The Centre for Leadership, Innovation, and Change (CLIC) was the academic partner for India R&D 2011 event organised by industry body FICCI. The objective of the conference was to examine challenges and opportunities in the existing framework of R&D collaboration and boost academia-industry linkage to enable resource pooling to foster innovation in the country. The event saw the eminent speakers like Sam Pitroda, Advisor to the Prime Minister, R Chidambaram, principal scientific adviser to the government of India, Dinesh Singh, vice chancellor, Delhi University, Rekha Shetty, managing director, Farstar Distribution Network Ltd and more. It was encouraging to witness representatives from government, industry and academia alike urging for increased collaboration to reap dividends in today’s knowledge based economy. Pitroda and Chidambaram released the FICCI-ISB-Battelle report on industry-academia linkages. Also, Pitroda unveiled the National Innovation Council’s plan to create a $1 billion fund to spur innovation in industrial clusters.
Innovation Educators’ Conference, ISB April 29-30, 2011
The Biocon Cell for Innovation Management organised an Innovation Educators’ Conference at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, on April 29-30, 2011. The objective of the conference was to provide a common platform for teachers/trainers, consultants and practitioners to exchange ideas on how to spread the innovation culture in India. Sam Pitroda, Chairman, National Innovation Council (NIC), Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Chairperson, Biocon & Member NIC and Professor Johan Roos, Former President, Copenhagen Business School, Denmark were among the prominent speakers at the conference. The conference provided the participants with an opportunity to connect with like-minded people from all walks of life to create a charter, a plan, and a network to build an innovation nation. The conference was an overwhelming success bringing together over 250 delegates from all walks of life to create an action plan to foster innovation. With IEC, we have begun a very promising journey. Yet, it is just a beginning. We are now working on the next few steps like Conference Proceedings, an interactive portal to discuss the challenges in innovation etc. to make a significant impact in the evolution of an innovation nation.
Cambridge – ISB Workshop & Research Seminar on Affordable Innovation April 1-2, 2010
The Cambridge Judge Business School and Indian School of Business jointly organised the conference New Business Models for Sustainable & Affordable Innovation at ISB on April 1-2, 2010. The workshop included representatives from organisations who were a part of the consortium. Academicians, researchers, organisations: DST / NSTMTIS. ILA's 11th Annual Global Conference Prague November 11- 14, 2009
Prasad Kaipa, Executive Director, Centre for Leadership, Innovation and Change, Indian School of Business, ISB, was part of the Leadership Panel at the ILA's 11th Annual Global Conference. The conference was attended by over 600 leadership educators, scholars, community leaders, business professionals, consultants, and students as the best in the global leadership field presented the finest scholarship, compelling ideas, and transforming leadership practices.
Second International Conference on Igniting the Genius Within; Theme-"Leading and Innovating through Turbulent Times" October 22-25, 2009
The primary objective of the second IGW conference was to throw light on innovation management. The goal of the conference organized by CLIC was to bring together public and private, academic, and non-government organizations from across the world. The sessions were well received by participants who shared their ideas, insights, and perspectives on changing paradigms of innovation.
