About the Event
The Centre for Case Development at the Indian School of Business (ISB) and Richard Ivey School of Business (IVEY), University of Western Ontario will host a half-day Case Teaching Workshop titled Crack the Case: An Initiation into Case Teaching, on December 7, 2010, at Mumbai. The workshop will be conducted by Ariff Kachra, Assistant Professor of Strategy and General Management, and Director India Development, IVEY.
The Rationale
ISB along with IVEY is committed to developing interview- based, compelling and real-world Indian cases for Indian MBA programmes. The workshop is a step towards familiarising faculty with the best practices of case teaching methodology.
Professor Kachra, a seasoned case writer, teacher and trainer to over 150 faculty, currently teaching in MBA programmes across India, will help faculty demystify the case teaching process. This introductory workshop will endeavour to impart the tools and confidence necessary to successfully experiment with this methodology. If one has used cases before, the workshop will provide her/him with a deeper understanding of some of the key success factors of case teaching.
Interested participants should submit the attached form along with the registration fees. Institutions are encouraged to nominate 2-3 of their faculty members for this workshop.
