It is our pleasure to announce that the Indian School of Business (ISB), in partnership with Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, is organising the first of its kind Deccan Dialogue, which is a dialogue on Economic Diplomacy for Development scheduled on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at ISB, Hyderabad campus.

The objective of ‘Deccan Dialogue 2018’, is to explore and strengthen partnerships for promoting economic diplomacy at the grass root level, and reinforce the crucial role of various stakeholders including local business leaders, young entrepreneurs and State governments in advancing trade and investment relations and maximising the benefits of economic diplomacy. 

The maiden edition of Deccan Dialogue 2018 will focus on an inaugural session on a ‘Roadmap for Economic Diplomacy for Development’; Dialogue 1 on ‘Taking Economic Diplomacy to the Grassroots for Strengthening Development Partnerships’; Dialogue 2 on ‘Young Entrepreneurs as drivers of innovation and brand ambassadors of economic diplomacy’; Dialogue 3 on ‘Smart Cities and Sister City Engagement’; and a Valedictory Session on ‘Engaging States to Strengthen Economic Diplomacy’.
 
The Dialogue will have thought leaders on these critical topics, which need open dialogue and come up with some concrete policy directives and partnership opportunities for the future. Gen V K Singh (Retd), Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs has kindly agreed to inaugurate the conference and Mr K T Rama Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Industries & Commerce, IT&C, MA&UD, NRI Affairs, Govt. of Telangana, will be delivering the keynote address in the inaugural session. A galaxy of other key speakers are invited to share and enrich the conference proceedings.

Deccan Dialogue is envisioned to be an annual multi-stakeholder conclave bringing together policymakers, representatives from business, diplomatic and strategic community, media, and academia on a common platform, to engage and deliberate on emerging aspects of economic diplomacy, development and decentralised cooperation.

The Dialogue is open for participation and will be useful for business leaders, CXOs, Professionals, Students, Government Officials, among others.
