ISB is committed to creating a sustainable future for all its stakeholders by establishing a comprehensive action plan for sustainability. It has set clear goals and priorities for green initiatives in its courses and the functioning of its campuses. It also encourages students and staff to plan, create, and act upon any such opportunities.

The school has engaged the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to carry out a carbon emissions footprint study for its Hyderabad and Mohali campuses. The first such external carbon emissions audit was run for the academic year 2021-2022.

The Greenhouse gas (GHG) emission study was conducted in line with the GHG Protocol developed jointly by the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). This audit includes Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.
