Q. What are your plans for the ISB's Post Graduate Programme?

RA
. In order to be a world-class business school, we need to have a strong focus on research. I want to bring this research-orientation to the classroom. I am also working closely with the International Academic Council to make innovations with new courses and changes to content, so that our curriculum is constantly updated and relevant. We are working at making the specialisations more comprehensive.

Q. Have you planned any new activities as focus areas at the ISB?

RA.
We have student clubs like marketing, finance, and technology, which organise various activities and events. The students are very enthusiastic and exceptionally talented. I would like to make the most of these activities, invite students from IITs and other B-Schools in India to participate in the school's events, and showcase the ISB to the outside world.

Q. How is the ISB's programme different from courses other business schools offer?

RA.
Firstly, it is a one-year programme, which covers all the courses that a two-year MBA programme offers. Our partnerships with three of the world's leading business schools and our international faculty gives the programme a global outlook. Another feature of the ISB, which is truly distinctive, is the involvement of the industry, and the opportunities the students have to interact with business leaders and entrepreneurs.

Q. What are your plans for Executive Programmes at the ISB?

SS. Executive Programmes at the ISB are poised to diversify and grow. Our team is building a set of complementary programmes through customised, open, and general management offerings. We are focused on the top and senior management levels, and at accelerated management development for high potential individuals. We have also identified sectoral programmes, such as in health and public systems.

Q. How will the Executive Programmes impact the corporate professional?

SS. I'd say we chiefly aim to develop strategic thinking and a global perspective. The ISB will provide the programme content and the learning experience necessary to allow our participants to make the quantum leap to business leadership.

Q. What is unique about the ISB's Executive Programmes?

SS. In simple terms, the programmes bring together international faculty at the cutting-edge of knowledge as Programme Directors, business leaders at the helm of exciting developments in their industry as Guest Speakers, and very high potential practitioners as Participants, in an unmatched learning environment - all at an accessible place, an internationally competitive price, and dealing with real educational needs. In a nutshell, we are providing world-class executive education in India.
